God's word tells us "to
consider how to stimulate one another to love and good
deeds."
It's not about us, it's about the Kingdom of God. It's not
about our kingdom, it's about His. It's not about our peace
and prosperity, it's about His glory. This is the passion of
the Father's children expressed in Psalm 115:1, "Not unto
us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Thy name give glory."
At SRPC, we are in a three-year vision campaign (April 2006 -
March 2009) entitled,
Kingdom One. Jesus said, "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God."
We want our church to be obsessed with Jesus and His mission
and not occupied with ourselves.
What has motivated people for 2,000 years to forsake
self-concern and follow Jesus wholeheartedly? What moved the
apostles, the martyrs and missionaries to be fully dedicated
to the Kingdom? It is the love of God. Our prayer is that
the love of the Father for us will lead us to gladly embrace
Kingdom One, not just as a campaign, but as the mantra of
our lives.
