It's Finished!

We celebrated the completion of our newly remodeled children's wing (September 8 & 9)!

Week 14 (September 3-7)

With the help of over 27 volunteers on Saturday, September 1, all the 3-D pieces for our remodel were installed. This weekend (September 8 & 9) we'll celebrate the grand opening of our new wing with a tour after each service.

Week 13 (August 27-31)

Our 3-D pieces arrived this week and they are fantastic. A team of Seven Rivers Christian School students helped unload the truck and members from the Disaster Response Team and other volunteers are coming Saturday, September 1 to install them!

Week 13 (August 20-24)

Not long now until our grand re-opening scheduled for September 8/9. Our 3-D pieces are in transit and painting continues.

Week 12 (August 13-17)

Exciting things have happened in our extreme makeover this week. The new carpet was installed, along with all new audio visual equipment and cabinets are going back in. Mural painting continues and we expect the 3-D element of the project to arrive next week.

Week 10 (July 30-August 3)

Anticipation builds as our children's wing Extreme Makeover enters it's final stages. New flooring was installed this week in the nursery suite which brings this portion of our makeover to a close. Check out the rest of the progress made this week.

The animals on the Serengeti plain in the K-2 room have begun to arrive.

Week 9 (July 23-27)

Our children's wing Extreme Makeover continues to progress. Audio/visual equipment has begun to arrive, including two 50" plasma TVs. New carpet and flooring is in the warehouse, just waiting for installation. We're expecting the arrival of the 3D element (see photos) of this renovation in the next couple of weeks, and of course, the murals just keep growing.

Grades K-2

The lions are all in place in the 4-year-old room.

Week 8 (July 16-20)

Week 7 (July 9-13)

Lots of changes this week...wait until you see them. Along with amazing work on the murals, a team of volunteers built a stage and the check-in desk.

The giraffes finally arrived in the 1-year old room!

And we're just waiting for the monkeys to arrive in the 2 & 3-year-old room.

Week 6 (July 2-6)

Painting...painting...painting continues in our Extreme Makeover.

The butterflies in the infant nursery continue to grow and take shape.

The giraffes will soon arrive in the one-year-old room.

Week 5 (June 25-29)

We met with the volunteer construction team that will construct stages and the welcome desk. They are extremely qualified and ready to go! We are also in contact with an audio/visual specialist who is helping us plan for these components of the makeover. Mural painting continued this week and things in the nursery entry are starting to take shape.

Week 4 (June 18-22)

Structural work is complete. Stages and other building projects will soon get underway. Murals will cover walls in each room. The nursery is well underway...although you might have to use your imagination!

Week 3 (June 11-15)

The new walls and electrical wiring were completed and we received our final inspection. No painting this week with everyone at VBS, but watch here next week for lots changes!

Week 2 (June 4-8)

Four small rooms have been converted to two large rooms.

Mural painting begins in the infant nursery.

Colorful butterflies will decorate the walls for our youngest.
