"I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them."  Hosea 11:4

Currently, over 100 children in Citrus County and 500 children in neighboring Marion County are without a family and a home due to the effects of abuse or neglect.

"Cords of Kindness" exists to educate, encourage and empower our congregation and community to adopt or foster parent, or become support for those who do.

   Vision Statement

To be instruments of transformation to children and families that have been affected by the brokenness of abuse, abandonment or neglect through the redemptive love of the gospel, practically demonstrated by caring Christians.

   Mission Statement

To offer spiritual and practical encouragement and help to children and families who have been ravaged by abuse, abandonment or neglect.

MAPP Training Class for Adoptive and Foster Parents

MAPP (Model Approach to Parenting) training classes for adoptive and foster parents are offered at Seven Rivers during the year.

Watch here for details of upcoming MAPP classes. Contact Children’s Home Society (352-860-5149) to receive more information about adoption.
