The mission of Global Outreach at Seven Rivers is to involve the membership in spreading the good news of God’s grace throughout the globe.
Church Planting
We believe that the local church is God's primary vehicle for the expansion
of His kingdom. Therefore we will invest the largest portion of our mission
resources in church planting strategies in various cultural contexts both in
the United States and abroad.
Indigenous Ministry
We believe that ministry is most effectively done by trained men and women
within their native cultural contexts. We also believe that for long-term
reproducibility, ministries should receive their primary financial support
from sources within their culture.
Equipping Nationals
We believe that the proper role of the cross-cultural missionary is an
equipper of national church planters and a facilitator of church planting
movements. Therefore we will strongly support missionaries with a vision for
planting indigenous churches with native leadership.
Strategic Prayer
We believe that prayer should be the most consistent, mobilized activity of
the Seven Rivers’ Missions Ministry. We want to help create structures
within Seven Rivers Church for the understanding and execution of strategic
intercession for the world.
Geographical Focus
We believe in strategically focusing our resources in few rather than many
areas of the world in order to maximize our effectiveness. Our current
Global focal points are: Japan, Haiti, Mexico, and Austria.
Short-Term Missions
We believe that short-term missions are the most effective method of
involving our members in world evangelization. Short-term missions provide
believers with the opportunity to experience the work of God in the world
and provide an excellent tool for the mobilization of longer-term
missionaries.
