Here’s what a visit might look like:
When you arrive at Seven Rivers for our service,
you are invited to park in the front
in the visitors parking spaces and use the main entrance.
There is signage to help you find your way.

Seven Rivers.
At this time we have handicapped parking near our covered drop-off. When you enter either the west (nearest
the drop off) or east doors to the sanctuary, there is
shortened pew designed for a wheel chair. This area gives
easy access to the sanctuary and is closest to the exit
doors for after the service.
At the front door, there should be some friendly people (we
call them “greeters”) to say hello, answer any questions you
have, and direct you to the sanctuary. If you need
childcare, (ages 0-4) they can show you to the
nursery.
After singing and some worship we dismiss the children in
grades K-2 to
children's church
in Room 406 (you may
accompany them to see where to pick them up). If your
children
are shy, they’re welcome to attend the adult service with
you, but most kids really enjoy children's church,
available during all services.

You’ll notice that everyone is dressed comfortably, in
anything from traditional church clothes to office
casual to jeans and sneakers. If you arrive early, you’re
welcome to browse in the bookstore (near the entrance) and
pick up information about Seven Rivers in the lobby area.
When you come in the sanctuary, you’ll be given a copy of
the "Bulletin” which has the agenda for the day’s service
and an insert with the week’s announcements and an outline
for the sermon, with room to make notes if you like. You can request a nametag to be made for
you at the Guest Services Desk. (Many people like to wear a nametag to make
it easier to meet new friends.)
The service usually begins with some upbeat music, followed
by a welcome and introduction to the theme of the day’s
service. There is a time of community where we shake hands
with those around us. Sometimes, there will be a drama or
multimedia presentation to further explore the day's theme.
More singing will follow led by the worship team. We have a
heart for God's children of all ages and our worship
reflects a variety of styles and tastes; from contemporary
with a praise band to hymns accompanied by an organ.
We include
collecting tithes and offerings as part of our worship and
thanksgiving to God. We want you to feel welcome as our guest,
and let the plate pass. After the offering, a book is passed
down the rows for you to enter any information you would
like us to have. In the front flap of the book you
will find a first time guest card. We hope you will
fill this card out and bring it by the Guest Services Desk as
you leave - we have a gift for you and everyone worshiping
with you (kids included).
The message will be based on the Bible, and often
includes interesting quotes from contemporary people, songs,
or movies. You'll hear solid Christian theology in
intelligent, understandable, relevant terms, and hopefully,
you’ll laugh at times and maybe feel a tug at your heart,
too. A prayer and song will follow the message.

After the service, you'll pick up your kids from their
classrooms, and then we hope you’ll stay, meet some people
and enjoy some
refreshments in the Florida Room or at the Seven Rivers
Coffee Bar. Church is about God and
worship, but it is also about community and friendship, so
we hope you will genuinely experience warmth and
friendliness at Seven Rivers.
That’s about it. People constantly tell us that they really
felt comfortable - “at home” are the words we hear most
frequently. We hope you’ll join us this weekend.
