Parenting by Grace

God is our Father and we are His adopted children in Christ. The truth of Scriptures comes to us in terms of family. Yet, how does the gospel of grace impact our parenting?

This January we are inviting parents collectively to a season of growth and renewal. Parents will be encouraged over a two-month period to do the following:

• Attend a four-week preaching series which begins January 5/6 in weekend worship

• Read a book on parenting

• Read an age-appropriate devotional or classic with your child

• Make a specific parenting decision that will enhance family life (see below)

Here's just a few ideas that might help enhance your family life:

• Go on a Family Mission Trip

• Do a service project together as a family

• Decide on a plan to decrease tv and/or computer use in your home

• Plan an educational trip (Tallahassee, St. Augustine, Washington, DC, Civil Rights tour, etc.)

• Family Dinner Time - set a goal to eat dinner together as a family a certain number of nights per week
