These are unique times and circumstances. But the work of Christ’s Bride continues, even in pandemics, because the church is not a place, it’s a people. Our guiding principal during COVID-19 is “Trust God and Love Neighbor.” Here is what we are doing to stay on mission as God’s people throughout the Coronavirus.
Hebrews 10:25 says, "Let us… not neglect meeting together, but encourage one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." In God's kind providence we can utilize modern technology to continue meeting together until it is safe to resume physical services. You can find past services, or RSVP for an upcoming service.
“By Life or By Death” is a Seven Rivers Student Ministry project that leads students to rejoice in suffering. Without Jesus there is no hope, there is panic, chaos and fear. We want to be children of God that rejoice in suffering. The only way for this to be accomplished is to go to Jesus. The “By Life or By Death” guidebook contains audio stories, video devotions and worksheets.
We have organized a group of volunteers who want to wade into the challenges, including helping with grocery or prescription pick-up, running everyday errands (i.e. post office), placing check-in phone calls, making face masks, offering prayer or getting people connected with pastoral or professional counseling. If you want to be on the team please email Chad Townsley.
If you have any needs, or if you become aware of someone who does, please call the church office at 352.746.6200.
