Seven Rivers Kids

At Seven Rivers we are passionate about kids! Our mission is to partner with parents to be the catalyst to a child’s spiritual understanding of God and His love for them. We desire to impact each child’s life with Christ’s love by communicating the truth of the Gospel in the most creative, energetic, and effective way possible. Our hope is that each child would learn about God and His ways, learn to worship God through music and activities, and grow in relationships with God and others.

What To Expect

It can be daunting to walk into a new place, but hopefully, our check-in process will make it easier! Just make your way to the West Entrance and you’ll find yourself in the Seven Rivers Kids lobby. Choose a check-in station and a staff member will help you register your children. We have safety nametags with parent tags that you’ll need to keep for pick-up. Nursery rooms are open 20 minutes prior to the service start. Children in Kindergarten and up will begin in the sanctuary with you and then be dismissed to the Seven Rivers Kids lobby before the sermon for Children’s Church! You can pick your children up in their classrooms when the service is done.

Outside the sanctuary, past the café, is the Nursing Mothers Room.

Safety

All entrances are monitored before, during and after each service. Doors to each nursery room are kept locked during each service to prevent any unauthorized person from entering. During check-in, you and your child receive matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. You must present this tag to the staff or volunteer when picking up your child. If for some reason your child were to need you during the service, your child's code would appear on the screens in the Sanctuary. We would ask that you exit the Sanctuary immediately and look for a staff member who will direct you to your child’s room.

Good Health
Children who show signs or symptoms of fever or any contagious disease should not be brought to the nursery. Children should be fever-free for 24 hours before returning. See Wellness Policy

Tips & Reminders
Please label all of your child's belongings. Please leave all toys at home. Check lost and found in the Children's Wing for things left behind.

nursery-2024-1Nursery

We want to make the Seven Rivers nursery an engaging and safe place where your child can experience God’s love for them. Each of our nursery staff and volunteers are carefully screened and all appropriate background checks are thoroughly administered.

Each staff and volunteer in the nursery receives ongoing training in the care of young children. Most of our staff serving in the nursery are CPR certified within the last 2 years. And we offer opportunities to be certified annually.

Maybe most importantly, each of the nursery staff has a great love for children and a desire to help them have a wonderful experience while in Seven Rivers Kids Nursery.

Kids in Kindergarten through 2nd grade are dismissed from the worship service just before the sermon. Teachers will meet them in the hallway to direct them to their rooms. They must be registered and wearing a nametag. You can do this any time, as long as there’s an attendant in the Seven Rivers Kids lobby, but the best time is before church begins!

In Children’s Church, kids are taught in fun, entertaining, and unique ways that engage their young hearts and minds. We want the way that we teach to reflect the wonder and power of Jesus. We seek to love each and every child in our care and teach them to love Jesus.

edge-2024The Edge

The Edge is designed specifically for kids in 3rd-5th grades. We sing, dance, create, read, and learn God’s Word together. The Edge is offered on Sundays, the same time as Children’s Church through the school year. We take a break in the summer so that our big kids can join their parents in “big church” and learn what it’s like to be a part of the larger body of Christ.

When our 5th graders graduate from our care, we celebrate their milestone with a special ceremony with the Children’s Church kids as our audience. We gift each graduate a new Bible to take with them as they enter 6th grade and all that Middle School Student Ministry has to offer.
