Backstage Pass

Seven Rivers Worship

Overview & Purpose

Any and all are welcome! Backstage Pass is not an audition process but simply an opportunity to meet our team and learn if our music and A/V ministries could be a good place for you to get plugged in. You do not need to have any previous experience in order to attend, and there is no obligation for you to volunteer if you do attend.
Please RSVP using the form located below.

What to expect?

We will spend a few minutes at the beginning of our evening introducing our team members, followed by an educational overview of how to use our equipment that we use in worship services on the weekends (soundboard, cameras, lighting programs, and presentation software for those interested in A/V; in-ear monitors, apps for pulling up chord charts and controlling in-ear monitors in iPads, and relevant instrument effects processing for those interested in singing or playing instruments). The bulk of our night will be spent taking turns playing through prepared music (made available to you below!) in a live, group setting.

We want everyone who comes to enjoy spending their evening with us! That means if you simply want to come be a spectator, learn about the equipment we use, and meet our team, that’s perfectly fine and we look forward to seeing you! However, if you hope to be more than a spectator and participate in playing an instrument with us for the evening, we recommend that you have at least a basic level of musical proficiency (know the fundamentals of how to play the instrument you sign up for and can play along to a chord chart) in order to avoid discouragement. Backstage Pass, though an opportunity to learn and practice skills, cannot function as an opportunity for free music lessons.

Backstage Pass is for anyone who is...

  • Curious about what it would be like to volunteer with our music and A/V teams.
  • Interested in getting to know our team members, core values, and process behind the scenes.
  • Eager to meet and spend time with a community of musicians, singers, techies for an evening of talking shop, playing and singing together, and connecting with others in our church body.
