The end of life can be stressful enough without guessing about your or your loved one’s wishes. Planning ahead is a final gift given to those we love. In this workshop we will learn about:

  • Understanding Advance Directives
  • Recognizing The Emotions Attached To End-Of-Life Planning
  • How Our Faith And Beliefs Affect End-Of-Life Planning
  • How To Recognize Physical Signs Of Declining Health
  • Some Case Studies
  • Palliative Care And Hospice Care

This workshop is hosted by Jessica McCune from Hospice of Marion County. 

Jessica McCune

Jessica McCune is a Registered Nurse and Licensed Mental Health Counselor working for Hospice of Marion County. She is passionate about Health Advocacy and believes our health is a gift that requires our stewardship. It is infrastructure we stand upon as we pursue joy. She has worked in preventive medicine, whole person health and the combination of body, mind and spirit her entire career, but specifically since 1999 here in Marion County. She holds a BS in Nursing from Baylor University and a MS in Counseling Education from the University of North Texas plus a MA in Storytelling from East Tennessee State University.
