Service

How can the day on which the Son of God died be called "good"?

Good Friday remembers Jesus' sacrifice on the cross. It is a somber, reflective service that prepares us for the hope of the empty tomb on Sunday morning. Traditionally called a Tenebrae service, or "Service of Darkness," Jesus's passion, crucifixion, and burial are marked through scripture readings and music as candles are gradually extinguished, plunging the church into darkness to symbolize the abandonment of Christ and the gloom of death.

We hope you'll make plans to join us for this sacred service.
