Renewing Grace • Relentless Mission • Redemptive Community
Thank you for visiting Seven Rivers, a church that’s crazy about God, His grace, and making our community beautiful.
We believe that being a part of the local church is not about religion, but a relationship with the risen Christ. Since 1983 we have welcomed people to come and discover the beauty of Jesus.
Whether a long-time believer or someone who is still unsure about Christianity, we welcome you! Seven Rivers is for anyone interested in exploring and engaging with the truth, beauty, community and mission of God.
We are a multi-generational church desiring to create a hospitable place of belonging for every type of person. Whatever your religious beliefs, political leanings, preferred attire, economic bracket, profession, ethnicity, culture, marital status or musical taste, we want our church to be a place where you can process and grow in your thoughts about God and the role he has for you in His world, and where you can be in life together with other people.
Seven Rivers is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church in America. We embrace Biblical and Historical Christianity as expressed in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, and as summarized in the Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds and the Westminster Confession of Faith. We believe that an understanding of the gospel of grace is the dynamic for all life-change and ministry.
Seven Rivers seeks to be a place where hearts and homes are healed by the love of God. In a world of self-absorption, Seven Rivers seeks to bless our world with deeds of compassion, mercy, and grace. In a world of disconnection, Seven Rivers seeks to be a place of unusual devotion to one another.
There are many opportunities to engage with people and the ministries of Seven Rivers. We have different types of groups—biblical elective studies, small groups, ministry serving teams—to name a few. All are places designed to help people connect to others, learn and discuss the truths of the Bible, know Christ better and follow in His mission of making all things new.
Our Men’s, Women’s, and Senior Ministries believe that the life-giving impact of God’s Kingdom flows through relationship—with God, each other and our neighbors. These ministries offer Bible studies and events that provide opportunities for connection, relationships, and spiritual growth for adults of all ages and stages of life.
Our Children and Student Ministries partner with families in raising the next generation for a lifetime of knowing God, loving His church, and living a life devoted to being on mission. We strive to point your children and students to the truth of the gospel through our regular programs. The Children’s Ministry serves children from newborn through 5th grade. The Student Ministry serves students in 6th-12th grade. Seven Rivers Christian School serves students from PreK-12th grade.
Care at Seven Rivers flows from a belief that hardship in a loving community is always better than hardship in isolation. We believe God calls us all to share the burdens of the neighbors who are put in our path. This burden-bearing could be as simple as a counseling referral, a meal calendar after a surgery, or through a long-term care process to rehabilitate through grief or divorce.
If you spend any time at all around Seven Rivers, you will hear us talk a lot about being “on mission.” Being on mission means our personal comfort and prosperity take a back seat to the urgency of Jesus’ mission of loving people, places and things to life. We accept the calling of God to be missionaries to our community and to bring the beauty of God to broken places. We do this in a few ways: following Jesus into worship; public faith; faith and work; and mercy and justice.
We invite you to learn more about the mission and vision of Seven Rivers Church, listen to sermons and connect with a group. Give us a call, attend services, try out a Biblical Elective class, or simply introduce yourself to us in the hallway. Do not hesitate to approach us personally with your questions.
