Teen MOPS is a faith-based, supportive, and safe environment where teen moms (22 and under) can come together with other moms who are in a similar life stage.
Through Teen MOPS, young moms can build friendships and grow as parents in a place where they are fully known and deeply loved.
Teen MOPS is led by women past their teen years who can share their love and experience with young moms. Teen MOPS meets once a month to provide friendship, support, and encouragement, as well as helpful information on parenting. At each meeting, we hang out together and enjoy good food, do fun crafts and activities, and learn about and discuss a variety of topics related to parenting and personal growth. Teen MOPS is a place where it is safe to share your joys, worries, and frustrations with people who know and love you.
This year at Teen MOPS, we will share our stories. We all long to be known. We desire friendship with people who truly see and understand us, who know the things, both good and bad, that make us who we are. And yet, we are afraid. Afraid that our stories are too messy and ugly and shameful. Afraid that if people know the real us, they will run away.
This year at Teen MOPS, we will learn that no story is too messy for God. We have a Father in Heaven who knows our secret shames and past mistakes, and loves us anyway. We are fully known and deeply loved. This year, we will hear from people who have had God rewrite their stories, turning brokenness into beauty. And we will create space where it is safe for all of us to share our stories, knowing that we will not find rejection but love from God and from one another.
Teen MOPS meets at Seven Rivers Church in the Florida Room (Sanctuary Building). Dinner and childcare provided. There is no charge for Teen MOPS.
